A photography exhibition was held Friday to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the friendly ties between Shandong province and the Free State of Bavaria in Shandong Provincial Cultural Center.
The exhibition was co-sponsored by the Information Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government, the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government and the General Office of the Free State of Bavaria, and jointly organized by sdchina.com, sdphoto.com.cn and Confucius Institute in Munich. It will last till December 20, 2017.
As a part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Shandong-Bavaria relationship, the exhibition aims at telling stories of the two sides through the lens of photographers, said Wei Changmin, director of the information office, in his speech.
Shandong boasts rich cultural deposits and resources, enjoying particularly favorable natural conditions in conducting cultural exchanges. “We hope more people especially photographers will show the world an innovative, pragmatic and open Shandong via your lens,”he added.
“The exhibition is not only an artistic exchange between photographers in Shandong and Bavaria but also a new achievement of the two sides in cultural exchange,” Li Rong, inspector of the foreign affairs office, said in her speech at the opening ceremony.
2017 marks the 30th anniversary of the friendly ties between Shandong and Bavaria.Photographers from Shandong and Bavaria had been selected to join in a 15-day photographic tour in Jinan, Tai’an, Jining, Weifang and Qingdao in China and Munich, Wuerzburg and Swabia in Germany. The beauty and charm of Shandong and Bavaria are fully displayed from the perspective of photographers, the beauty of nature, history and green humanity in particular.
Photos will be exhibited in cities in both Shandong and Bavaria.
