The summing-up meeting on China-Germany Shandong and Bavaria industrial worker welding skills contest was held Monday in Jinan, capital of east China’s Shandong province. The meeting summarized the contest and commended winners of the competition.
A total of 12 industrial workers took part in four competition items. Three of them won the first place, four won the second and three won the third, fully demonstrating their superb professional skills and excellent professional quality. This was the first time that Shandong Federation of Trade Union had organized such a contest outside China, according to Liu Zanjie, secretary of the Party leadership of the trade union.
Talent is the first resource and skilled workers are an important part of the talent team. Competitions play a crucial role in talent cultivation and selection as well as in the promotion of the rapid growth of skilled workers. Over the past three years, more than 20 million workers participated in over 300 provincial level contests.
An online learning system has been developed by the trade union and around 330,000 have studied on this platform.
Representative winners each made a speech at the meeting.
